Keeping industrial works dry and covered is a critical issue for construction projects. Mulders supplied a 15m wide waterproof tarp to cover a series of super sized shaft holes.

12.5km of new sewer pipes are being constructed to support local suburban development. Five huge circular shafts give ground level connection to the pipes. Open to the weather, John Holland needed some form of protective cover as construction progressed.

Mulders designed a large, secure, waterproof tarp to fit the site's design specification. With multipurpose use in mind, the tarp kept water out and provided a protective barrier from the elements. The tarp was manufactured from a dark blue highly durable PVC, blending in with the site works. This high quality membrane was waterproof and UV resistant, able to provide superb protection from rain, wind and sun. Non rusting eyelets strategically positioned around the tarp connected with the shaft’s fixing point to ensure secure fixing. Durable, waterproof and portable, the large tarp could also be stored and carried from shaft to shaft as works progressed.

Made from premium grade canvas or extra heavy duty waterproof PVC, all of our tarps are custom made. Each tarp can be designed to snugly fit exact requirements, suiting main contours , projections and usage needs. Designs can include eyelets, cords, flaps and windows, or other devices to match the equipment and any space constraints. With over 10 colours to choose from, it is easy to request a highly visible tarp or one that will simply blend in with the surroundings. All tarps or covers are designed to be easy to put on, remove and store away when not in use.
